What is SLC?
SLC (State Leadership Conference) is a conference that includes educational symposiums, conference exhibitors, and workshops. Participants will have the opportunity of competing in competitive events, including teamwork events, recognition events, leadership events, health science events, health professional events, and emergency prevention events. They will also have the opportunity to attend workshops.
What will the students be doing at SLC?:
- Competitions
- Each students will participate in two competitive events, each with multiple rounds.
- Some events require tests, and all other rounds and events take place during the conference
- Workshops
- Motivational speakers
- Career Exploration
- Skills Enhancement (ranging from general skills such as interviewing, to specific ones such as suturing)

The State Leadership Conference of HOSA is a statewide conference held yearly which allows members to compete in events, attend workshops, and get recognition/scholarship awards. 17 members of HOSA were able to attend the State Leadership Conference this year in Anaheim. Congratulations to everyone who placed/was a finalist!
